Dear Ones:
Finally - I am taking the time to blog a little! Please notice that I put my last two sermons and the one Jim Watkins preached on the sermon blog. I spent last week-end in Mission Springs (our Women's Retreat) and had a most wonderful time seeing all my old friends and making a few new ones. It was sooo great having Erin Carver, Sharon LoForte, Laura Fife, and Marge Elsbury there also. Also there was another bonus for me, my sister and my oldest daughter were there and their rooms were right below ours. But I have now decided that I want a drum. We did drumming and it was so spirt lifting and fulfilling, I can't begin to tell you. I felt the things I was stressing out about just slipping off my shoulders. Now this is not a snare or bass drum. This is a drum that is not loud, but has such a tone that is so soothing. Anyway, that is my next purchase - a drum. Have you ever heard 200 plus women singing at the same time? Oh - it was stupendous!!! I just quit singing to listen. Especially when the pianist quit. We were singing All Creatures of Our God and King, and the Alleluias were amazing. You can tell I really enjoyed myself, right? Thanks for the opportunity to go.
Love, Pastor Vi
Hello Dear Ones:
Finally - I am taking time to write on the blog for you. This past week-end I was in Mission Springs at our Church Women's Retreat. And I have decided I want a drum. I had such fun drumming. It is so relaxing and you can feel the very spirit of God come in to you thru the drum. Now this is not a snare drum - it is not loud, but very musical. (for want of a better word) I so enjoyed Erin, Sharon, Laura, and Marge who went with me. I also had the joy of beomg with my sister and my oldest daughter Janie too. Have you ever heard 200 plus women sing - it was fantastic. You know how much I love to sing, well I just shut up and listened it was sooo beautiful. Thank you for the opportunity to go!
Well we are busy getting our "Living Nativity" going. The first committe meeting for it is Wednesday the 22nd at 6:00 p.m.

Good Monday Morning! I have been fooling around with the blog this morning and I think I have figured it all out with Pat's help. It is a gorgeous day today, too nice to be sitting in an office, so I will go out soon and do some visiting. I have some news to give you today - our beloved Marco Stumbo will soon be on her way to see our God. She is doing this with dignity and with the love of God shining through her eyes. I would like you to pray that her going is painless and also pray for Nanci and Julie as they are the caretakers and will really need our love and support after Marco departs. I will be preaching on "What's Love Got to do With it" this next Sunday. See ya in church. Love, Pastor Vi

Greetings from New York City!
Ho nice it is to be in the place of my birth. I cannot tell you, however, how different it is than when i was growing up. As a result of 9/11 NYC has really changed. The landscape, the city's services, the people, all a little different. Nevertheless, it is home.
So many wonderful experiences, i had, whilst here. i cannot even begin toenumerate them. We'll talk about them Sunday!
Tomorrow, I shall return to you--I look forward to that. I know, however, that returning also means spending my last day in worship with you. This comes with mixed emotions. Happy to be moving on with my career--sad to be leaving such a wonderful place. We shall have to be in prayer for each other.
For the moment, I bid you goodbye.

Hi Friends,
Just checking in with you and letting you know that i have gotten to updating my sermons on the sermon log. We are still missing a few that I will have to reconstruct on my new computer. Last week's, however, is there. We will be back to audio sermons in a few weeks--we are still having some trouble with recording to cassette. More to come on that.
Loving You,
-Pastor Chris
